Submitted By: Douglas R. Reno Date: 2021-07-08 Initial Package Version: 247 Origin: Manual Backport w/ buildfix Upstream Status: Applied in 249 (https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/20002/) Description: This patch backports the fix for CVE-2020-13529. CVE-2020-13529 can allow for a remote attacker to reconfigure the network with a specially crafted packet, with no user interaction required. Due to the changes coming in LFS 11.0, advising an upgrade to systemd-249 is impossible. The vulnerability affects systems back to systemd-245. LFS 9.1 had 244, but LFS 10.0 had systemd-246, and LFS 10.1 had systemd-247. This patch applies cleanly and works well on an LFS 10.1 system (tested on i686, but should work well on x86_64 as well). diff -Naurp systemd-247.orig/src/libsystemd-network/sd-dhcp-client.c systemd-247/src/libsystemd-network/sd-dhcp-client.c --- systemd-247.orig/src/libsystemd-network/sd-dhcp-client.c 2020-11-26 12:00:50.000000000 -0600 +++ systemd-247/src/libsystemd-network/sd-dhcp-client.c 2021-07-08 12:15:39.478187166 -0500 @@ -1532,9 +1532,17 @@ static int client_handle_forcerenew(sd_d if (r != DHCP_FORCERENEW) return -ENOMSG;
